Job Description
Job Title: Radiology X-Ray Technologist
Profession: Radiologic Technologist

Shift: 8H Days M-F
Hours per Shift: 0900-1730 plus required call
Experience: Minimum of 2 years
License: TX Rad Tech license required
Certifications: BLS, ARRT
Must-Have: Motivated individual with experience in X-Ray and Fluoroscopy.
Description:
Unit manager will conduct interviews.
Technologist will primarily float between two campuses as needed.
Candidates should have not been directly employed by any facilities associated with this health system within the past year.
Candidates who were employed PRN through outside firms will be considered.
Call-outs are strongly discouraged and may result in termination.
Call is required at least two days per month, with specific hours outlined for weekday and weekend shifts.
Department performs an average of 123 exams per day.
Common imaging studies performed include X-Ray, Fluoro, and surgery cases.
Department uses Meditech for EMR and Synapse for PACS.
Department equipment includes GE, Siemens, and Dornier for X-Ray and Fluoro, as well as GE and Siemens C-arms.
Radiology supervisor is available for guidance.
No registered radiology assistants are utilized in this department.
Radiologists are available in-house from 7:30 AM to 5 PM.
Starting IVs is rare for this position.
Weekend and holiday requirements may be expected if scheduled.
A 30-minute response time is required for call.
Black scrubs are the dress code, but scrubs are not provided.
The department does not have a floating requirement to cover other areas.
Charting system used is MEDITECH.
BSN is not required for this position.
This position involves working in an acute care setting.
