Reporting to the Product Assurance Engineering Manager, the R&D Verification Engineer II is responsible for contributing to the design, development, and sustainment of water quality instruments by executing design verification processes and principles. This role sits within the Product Development Engineering team, where engineering decisions directly influence usability, reliability, and the overall customer experience. 

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the Verification Engineer applies strong engineering fundamentals while growing their ability to think critically, collaborate effectively, and connect technical decisions to real-world customer outcomes. This role supports both new product development and sustaining efforts, balancing innovation with continuous improvement of products already in the field

 

This position is part of the Product Development Engineering team, located in Loveland, CO, and will be onsite. 

 

In this role, a typical day will look like: 

  • Develop design verification strategies. 

  • Determine appropriate testing methods, environments, and tools. 

  • Define the schedule and resourcing required to execute verification activities. 

  • Track and report progress toward completion of verifications for the project. 

  • Draft and review verification protocols and reports. 

  • Advise on verification risks and consult on mitigations. 

  • Assist with experimental design and execution to characterize the performance of components, sub-systems and systems. 

 

 

The essential requirements of the job include: 

  • B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Statistics, or physical science. 

  • 3-5 years of experience in hardware design, Verification Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Quality Engineering, or Test Engineering with Product Development background. 

  • Experience with data analysis, statistical graphics, and inferential techniques.

  • Experience creating verification plans, protocols, and reports.

  • Experience with defect tracking and configuration management tools.

  • Experience balancing multiple projects and priorities independently

  • Availability to travel up to 10%, local or internationally.

Additional preferred experience: 

  • Experience with electro-mechanical devices utilizing firmware, optics, and chemistry. 

  • Experience with Minitab, R Studio, or DiscoverSim 

  • Experience with DOEs, GR&Rs, and CpK analysis. 

  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, firmware or software testing systems and tools. 

  • Experienced with risk analysis tools, FMEAs, Design for Six Sigma Score Card. 

  • Experience in medical device or aerospace industry.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $75,000 - $95,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
