What you will do:- Completing experiments in a mammalian bioreactor setting
- Applying knowledge of biological, chemical, or engineering fundamentals including mass and energy conservation, heat and mass transfer, biochemistry, cell and molecular biology, and basic mathematical modeling
- Learning and understanding how to safely operate a range of unit operations and demonstrating proficiency for achieving quality results
- Maintaining an accurate and detailed laboratory notebook to document the execution and results of experiments
- Collaborating with computational science teams to improve data management tools
- Evaluating instruments, equipment, processes, and systems to improve safety, quality, and performance
- Communicating technical information to internal teams and clients through oral and written correspondence, presentations, and reports
- Preparing written documents such as technical memos, reports, and technology transfer documentation
- Leading the execution of basic lab functions and suggesting operational improvements to laboratory practices
What we are looking for:- B.S. or equivalent experience in Chemical Engineering or Bioengineering, or B.S. or equivalent experience in Cell or Molecular Biology, or Biochemistry
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities
- Growth mindset
- A strong drive to learn and contribute outside of your educational specialty
- Previous experience in a biology lab is preferred; previous experience with mammalian cell culture is desirable
- A bias towards collaboration
