As an Associate Software Manager within the Advanced Programs & Exploitation (APEX) team you will lead a multi-disciplinary team supporting ongoing programs and internal research and development efforts. The APEX team is focused on a variety of efforts centered around mission processing applications of remote sensing payloads. You will be responsible for staff planning and ensuring projects are executed on schedule and within budget. A large part of the job will be partnering with teams across organizations and lines of business to coordinate efficient project execution. The selected candidate will be expected to perform in a technical leadership role to meet daily operational requirements in addition to assuming the engineering management responsibilities. In this role, you will be required to exercise a breadth of skillsets in order to fulfill your operational and programmatic responsibilities, including but not limited to: - Technical Leadership Skills: Participating in and facilitating day-to-day project conversations to ensure that the technical solution space is being considered from a system thinking perspective while also accounting for cost & schedule impacts. - Engineering Management Skills: Participate in and contribute to each employee's career growth, providing empowerment, coaching and guidance to various areas of skills development.
