Job Summary:

The Project Manager is responsible for leading cross-functional new product development (NPD) and lifecycle management projects within the Surgical Division. This role drives project execution from initiation through completion, ensuring adherence to cost, schedule, scope, and quality objectives while complying with design control, regulatory, and product development processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities in addition to the responsibilities below as reasonably required by business needs.
  • Lead small to medium-sized cross-functional projects from concept through commercialization, including new product development, product enhancements, and sustaining engineering initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource plans to meet cost, schedule, and performance targets.
  • Coordinate Design History File (DHF) development, transfers, and required documentation in accordance with design controls and product development processes.
  • Drive team execution using standard PMO tools and methodologies including project charters, communication plans, risk registers (RAID logs), and Gantt charts.
  • Facilitate project meetings, manage issues and risks, and proactively escalate when needed to ensure project success.
  • Partner with functional leaders to align project objectives, priorities, and expectations across stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present clear project status updates, metrics, and recommendations to project teams and management.
  • Support on-market products and expansion projects as required.


Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • No direct people management responsibility; provides project leadership and coordination across cross-functional teams.


Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or a related field required.


Experience:
  • Minimum 3+ years of project management experience, preferably supporting medical device, regulated products, or complex cross-functional development efforts.
  • Experience working within a regulated environment (FDA, ISO) strongly preferred.


Skills:
  • Strong project management fundamentals including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, resolve issues, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Analytical and critical-thinking skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with PMO practices, templates, and tools; PMP certification preferred but not required.

The total compensation range for this role is $97,600 - $152,700 . This is based on a base salary and commission plan combination. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, territory/ geography, education, business needs, market demand and performance versus quota
