Job Overview

The Advanced Solutions Team (AST) is seeking a Product Development Designer/Technician to join our fast-paced, highly technical organization. This role is responsible for creating 3D CAD models and 2D CAD drawings in accordance with industry standards as well as supporting prototype fabrication and testing. The position may also involve other related duties to support AST's overall objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD tools.
  • Collaborate with engineers to layout, design, and detail components that meet design objectives.
  • Update mechanical drawings and implement process engineering changes.
  • Perform tolerance analysis and dimensional checks on designs.
  • Supports prototype fabrication and its coordination.
  • Performs verification testing and interprets results for reporting.
  • Works under minimal supervision.

This role is located in Middletown, PA 17057.

What your background should look like

  • Associate degree in Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in mechanical design or product development.
  • Proficiency in PTC Creo and familiarity with PTC Windchill/PDMLink preferred.
  • Strong understanding and application of GD&T principles
  • Experience in connector design is highly desirable.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $67,000 - $100,500 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
