Full Job Description
This position reports to:
Chapter Lead

In this role you will have the opportunity to implement creative, innovative products solutions to provide value to customers, and win the market. This position requires a high degree of flexibility as well as analytical and interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for Identifying proposing and implementing innovative technology, software, and solutions by contributing with their own ideas.

The work model for the role is: Onsite #LI-Onsite

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Working as an independent contributor and reliable contributor in R&D projects, requiring only limited supervision.
  • Demonstrating solid technical proficiency in own area of competence and embraces best practices.
  • Performing a variety of tasks in the assigned area (e.g., mechanics, electronics, thermal, software), from concepts and requirements through design, implementation, integration, and testing, to technology transfer or maintenance and operations.
  • Documenting work results (like findings, designs, or software) solidly, allowing others to maintain and improve them.
  • Identifying areas of product quality improvements.


Qualifications for the role:
  • Bachelor's degree, or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical power or similar
  • 2+ years' experience in development of products & its solutions in Electrical distributions.
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing implementation of new and modified designs.
  • Experience with design and product documentation, Creo and Windchill preferred.
  • Proven ability to analyze test data and solve design issues.
  • LEAN/Six Sigma certification is preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast paced agile work environment

Time off

ABB provides 11 paid holidays. Vacation is provided based on years of service for hourly and non-exempt positions. Salaried exempt positions are provided vacation under a permissive time away policy.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $83,300 and $133,280 annually.
