Full Job Description
We are seeking an energetic, team-oriented people-person to be responsible for the performance of Quality Technicians and inspectors on various shifts at Gigafactory Buffalo. The Quality Supervisor will manage a team of Technicians and Inspectors to ensure they perform at a high level while meeting the needs of the production floor and product quality. The individual will be responsible for quality assurance related metrics for their shift. The Quality Supervisor will be responsible for performance managing their team to generate the highest value from every employee while maintaining a high level of technical ability.
Must be flexible to work the following shifts:
C: 7:00PM - 7:00AM; Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday
D: 7:00PM - 7:00AM; Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Wednesday

Responsibilities
  • Delegate responsibilities and manage schedules for a team of Quality Technicians and Inspectors
  • Provide coaching and training to Technicians and Inspectors
  • Escalate quality issues with Management and Engineering as needed
  • Drive improvements in quality operations
  • Assist Quality Technicians and Inspectors on in-line decision making
  • Provide regular reports & updates to Quality team and Management
  • Assist in management of material disposition


Requirements
  • 2+ years of leadership experience with a team of 10 or more employees
  • Certification in a quality-related field such as six-sigma, TQM, or equivalent a plus
  • Familiarity with measurement system analysis (physical measurement techniques i.e. CMM, optical comparator) and analytical techniques like GD&T, Gage R&R
  • Familiarity with physical IQC tools like XRF, microscopy, XRD, ICP etc.
  • Experience in cleanroom environments as well as easily demonstrate ability to drive issues to root cause solutions in previous experience
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Ability to command the english language, both written and verbal

      • Supervisor Manufacturing - $68,000 - $102,000/annual salary
      + cash and stock awards + benefits

      Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
