Responsibilities

  • Oversee quality, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives site-wide.
  • Develop and implement practices ensuring product quality meets specifications.
  • Provide analytical support in developing and training on new test methods as needed.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve customer satisfaction and product quality.
  • Identify and resolve root causes, utilizing statistical tools to ensure corrective actions work effectively.
  • Conduct compliance audits of ISO/IATF Quality Systems and spearhead improvement actions.

Full Job Description


Responsibilities

  • Strong commitment to Zero Incident Mindset principles throughout the Quality Organization
  • Utilize effective collaboration and relationship building skills to support trusting, highly motivated and cohesive team environment including effective reinforcement of team members
  • Responsible for site-wide quality, operational excellence and continuous improvements initiatives
  • Develop, implement and maintain practices and policies that assure raw materials, in-process and finished materials meet quality specifications and customer expectations
  • Provide analytical support to Manufacturing and to other functions as needed. This includes where necessary developing, implementing and assisting in training of new or improved test methods.
  • Partner with various cross-functional departments to address customer complaints and market trends, and to improve customer satisfaction and quality awareness
  • Identify root causes of internal and external opportunities. Effectively utilize operational excellence and statistical tools where applicable to implement and ensure that corrective actions from such investigations are effective.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO/IATF Quality Systems including performing quality, product and process audits, followed by identifying trends and working on improvement actions
  • Provide QC Lab on-call and backup coverage
  • Contribute to best practice efforts across all sheet and resin QC and plants by proactively partnering with Worldwide AMI Quality


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry or Science required
  • At least 3 years' experience in quality, lab or manufacturing setting required
  • High degree of initiative and ability to plan, prioritize, and work with minimal supervision in a hands-on environment
  • Excellent technical, analytical/statistical, troubleshooting, process and innovation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to contribute effectively as an individual and within a team
  • Demonstrate positive behaviors in adaptability, organization, prioritization, detail orientation, multi-tasking, and bias for action
  • Solid analytical method development skills with prior laboratory experience preferred
  • Six Sigma, Lean, Operational Excellence and/or Continuous Improvement experience preferred
  • ISO 9001/IATF 16949 experience preferred
  • CQA or CQE preferred
  • Labware and SAP experience preferred

The base salary range for this position is $76,100 to $104,500.
