Full Job Description
Job Description

Oracle is seeking an experienced Quality Program Manager to lead the Global Stop Ship and Purge program across our hardware supply chain.

The Stop Ship and Purge program is Oracle's global emergency-response system for managing critical hardware quality issues. When a potential quality concern is identified, this role leads the structured process for containing affected products, stopping movement through the supply chain, coordinating investigation and remediation, and safely restoring operations once the issue has been resolved.

This highly visible role provides end-to-end program leadership, from initial issue identification through containment, root-cause analysis, corrective action, recovery, and closure. The Quality Program Manager will ensure every quality event follows a consistent framework, maintains complete traceability, meets audit requirements, and minimizes potential impact to Oracle's customers, field operations, and OCI data centers.

The ideal candidate brings deep quality program-management experience within a manufacturing or complex hardware supply-chain environment. Success requires the ability to lead urgent, cross-functional programs involving external manufacturers, suppliers, product teams, engineering, field services, logistics, and data-center operations.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and manage Oracle's Global Stop Ship and Purge program for hardware products and supply-chain quality events.
  • Lead the complete lifecycle of critical quality issues, including identification, containment, investigation, root-cause analysis, corrective action, recovery, and formal closure.
  • Establish clear decision gates for stopping, holding, purging, releasing, and restarting products within the supply chain.
  • Coordinate rapid-response and Tiger Team activities involving manufacturing, engineering, product, supplier quality, logistics, field services, and OCI data-center teams.
  • Ensure quality events are managed through consistent processes, tools, documentation, approvals, and escalation paths.
  • Maintain full traceability and audit-ready records demonstrating how quality issues and corrective actions were managed.
  • Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action training and promote consistent use of failure-analysis and corrective-action methodologies.
  • Partner with external manufacturers and suppliers to investigate quality concerns, identify root causes, implement containment measures, and track remediation through completion.
  • Engage with manufacturing, product-design teams, services, account teams, and customers to identify quality trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Define, track, analyze, and report quality metrics, case-rate data, emerging trends, corrective actions, and program health.
  • Present risks, decisions, recovery plans, and quality-performance insights to senior leadership.
  • Use Voice of the Customer and field-quality data to improve products, processes, controls, and customer outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen quality-management systems and improve the efficiency and consistency of global quality-response processes.
  • Manage assigned quality initiatives end to end, including requirements, schedules, dependencies, risks, milestones, executive reporting, and operational handoffs.
  • Establish operating rhythms that provide clear visibility into program status, decisions, ownership, escalations, and outstanding actions.
  • Support ongoing compliance with applicable quality standards, certification requirements, and internal controls.

Required Qualifications
  • Strong quality program-management experience within manufacturing, hardware, electronics, or another complex physical-product supply chain.
  • Demonstrated experience leading high-priority quality events from initial containment through investigation, corrective action, validation, and release.
  • Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems, root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive action, failure analysis, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience collaborating with external manufacturers, suppliers, engineering, product, logistics, field-service, and customer-facing teams.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing and supply-chain control points, including how products or materials are stopped, contained, evaluated, released, and returned to production.
  • Experience creating and maintaining formal controls, process documentation, quality records, and audit traceability.
  • Ability to lead complex programs involving multiple organizations, competing priorities, incomplete information, and urgent timelines.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to identify trends, define meaningful quality metrics, and translate data into actions and recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex quality issues, risks, and decisions to technical teams and executive leaders.
  • Ability to influence outcomes and drive accountability across teams without relying on direct reporting authority.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting server, networking, storage, semiconductor, data-center, or other complex hardware products.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, TL 9000, or comparable quality-management standards.
  • Experience supporting product-compliance certifications or audits involving standards such as UL, CSA, TUV, CQC, or CCC.
  • Experience developing or delivering Root Cause and Corrective Action training.
  • Background in supplier quality, reliability engineering, manufacturing quality, or field-quality management.
  • Experience with supply-chain security, hardware authenticity, chain-of-custody controls, counterfeit-component prevention, or secure product lifecycle management.
  • Familiarity with security and risk frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, DoD, or CMMC.
  • Experience conducting supplier risk or security assessments and tracking corrective actions and remediation plans.

What Success Looks Like

The successful candidate will create a disciplined and repeatable approach to managing critical hardware quality events globally. They will ensure that Oracle responds quickly when issues arise, maintains complete visibility and traceability throughout the process, protects customers and field operations, and safely restores supply as efficiently as possible.
