Quality Metallurgist

The Quality Metallurgist provides technical leadership and metallurgical support for the Melt Shop, Rolling Mill, and Logistics operations. This role ensures that products meet customer requirements, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and strengthens the mill's quality systems and metallurgical capabilities.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Product Metallurgist is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and implementing product and process improvement opportunities. This includes planning and supervising product trials, conducting metallurgical evaluations, supporting customer inquiries, and ensuring compliance with quality standards and procedures.

The role also supports the Quality Assurance program through document control, calibration management, internal audits, corrective actions, and data preparation for Management Review. The Metallurgist will collaborate closely with operations, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent production.

Key Responsibilities
