Job Description:

The Impact You'll Make

The Manufacturing Quality Engineer supports the Danfoss Turbocor organization by identifying, reducing, and controlling manufacturing product and process risks. This role plays a critical part in driving continuous improvement, ensuring product quality, and protecting the customer experience through data-driven decision-making and cross-functional collaboration.

This position provides direct support to the Manufacturing team and partners closely with Quality, Engineering, and Operations to enhance performance and maintain compliance with quality standards. This is a fully onsite position at our facility in Tallahassee, Florida.

What You'll Be Doing

Manufacturing Quality & Continuous Improvement
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on manufacturing process performance on a regular basis
  • Leverage performance data to identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunities
  • Lead or facilitate cross-functional teams to investigate root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Drive improvements using structured problem-solving methodologies and the corrective action process
  • Perform trend analysis to identify both positive and negative shifts in product or process performance and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders
  • Develop actionable insights to support continuous improvement and lessons learned across the organization


Reporting & Metrics
  • Prepare and deliver monthly quality reports, including KPIs across multiple functional areas
  • Develop KPIs from raw data when required or consolidate inputs from various departments
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and clarity in reporting to support business decisions


Quality Issue Management
  • Lead or support containment activities for high-risk quality issues to protect customers
  • Develop, implement, and document containment and corrective actions
  • Ensure timely resolution and proper documentation of quality events


Audit & Compliance
  • Participate in the internal audit program, conducting audits per the defined schedule
  • Support product audits to ensure compliance with established quality standards
  • Ensure adherence to company quality policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements


Training & Support
  • Assist in delivering Quality Tools training sessions as needed
  • Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement across teams


General Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Support environmental, health, and safety initiatives
  • Perform additional duties as assigned


What We're Looking For

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Engineering, or a related field
    AND
  • Minimum of 3+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing quality, supplier quality, process engineering, or related areas


Technical Skills & Knowledge
  • Working knowledge and practical application of:
    • PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)
    • FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
    • Experience in high-volume or regulated manufacturing environments
    • ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 standards
    • Capability analysis and statistical methods
    • Root cause analysis and corrective action tools
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite:
    • Excel (data analysis and reporting)
    • PowerPoint (presentations)
    • Word, Access, Visio (documentation and process mapping)


Preferred Qualifications
  • Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher)
  • Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies
  • GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
  • Familiarity with ERP/MES systems and quality management systems (QMS)
  • Experience leading cross-functional improvement initiatives
