Full Job Description
What you will do

With minimal supervision, the Quality Manager directs plant quality assurance efforts with emphasis on identification and solution of process, material or labor problems that could compromise plant and division quality commitments. Trains staff and applies analytical and statistical analyses to achieve required quality results. Provides customer and supplier contacts relating to quality performance of a technical nature. This will be onsite 5 days a week at our Red Oak Plant.

How you will do it

  • Own plant quality control systems across process, purchased materials, and finished products to meet cost and customer expectations
  • Manage QA systems including warranty, scrap, compliance, SNRs, and customer concerns
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and customer-specific requirements
  • Lead customer issue resolution, including 8D responses, change management, and PPAP submissions
  • Interface with customers (OEM/aftermarket) and suppliers to resolve quality issues
  • Drive corrective and preventive actions with cross-functional teams
  • Monitor quality metrics, analyze trends, and improve cost of quality
  • Manage defective material disposition and QOS system performance
  • Lead, develop, and oversee Quality Engineers and Technicians
  • Ensure audit readiness and represent the plant during audits
  • Oversee plant quality reporting and monthly submissions
  • Support process changes, technical studies, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Trained First Responder


What we look for

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other technical field
  • Knowledgeable in program launch processes and CSR
  • Proficient in Excel, Power point, Program Manager
  • Travel expectation is approximately 20% of time between Milwaukee and other Clarios sites (US and Mexico)
  • Experience in TS16949, PPAP, SPC and other quality standards. Experience in TS16949 standards and facilitating continuous improvement using formal quality methodology and tools
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a QA Team within a manufacturing environment; automotive preferred

Preferred
  • 5+ years of QA management experience in a manufacturing environment; automotive highly preferred
  • Statistics background, Minitab a plus
