Description

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Quality Manager to oversee and lead the quality assurance processes within our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. This role will lead quality strategy and execution for an automotive component manufacturing operation, serving as the primary customer-facing quality leader. This role is accountable for driving compliance with industry standards, reducing internal and external defects, improving on-time delivery, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead plant-wide quality transformation and establish a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as the primary customer interface for quality, including audits, escalations and performance reviews.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to enhance team performance and quality culture.
  • Lead process and procedural development and documentation, including:
    • APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning)
    • DFEMA (Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis)
    • Control Plans, Work Instructions, and related quality documents.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, customers, and suppliers to prevent defects, improve KPIs, and resolve quality issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and customer requirements.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent 10 years of experience in Quality Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a Tier I or Tier II supplier management role.
  • Proven experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment (automotive or related industry preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of quality control techniques, testing and measurement systems.
  • Expertise in problem-solving techniques such as root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships across departments and with external partners.
  • Certified Quality Engineer, IATF16949 or ISO14001 auditor a plus.
