Job Duties
- Lead all aspects of the Quality Department, including strategy, execution, and alignment with business goals.
- Serve as the primary contact for all major internal and external quality issues, including customer and supplier escalations.
- Oversee and mentor a team of quality inspectors, CMM programmers, and quality technicians.
- Drive continuous improvement (CI) initiatives throughout the organization; utilize Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements, including documentation and audit readiness.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, and Customer Service to ensure quality objectives are met.
- Develop and implement quality training programs; lead hiring and onboarding of quality personnel.
- Monitor and report on key quality metrics to executive leadership.
- Own and enhance quality systems and procedures, including corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in a quality leadership role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Proven track record managing teams and building quality systems from the ground up.
- Deep understanding of quality standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or IATF 16949 (as applicable).
- Strong experience with inspection tools, CMMs, and quality software systems.
- Demonstrated success leading CI projects and using tools such as Six Sigma, 5S, and Root Cause Analysis.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable in a hands-on, high-impact leadership role with the ability to lead at both strategic and tactical levels.
