Full Job Description
Air Distribution Technologies, Inc. (ADTI) is seeking a Plant Quality Manager to support manufacturing operations at our Ruskin facility in Lexington, Kentucky. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing quality assurance activities across industrial processes, materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with internal quality standards, customer expectations, and applicable regulatory requirements.

The Plant Quality Manager plays a key role in driving continuous improvement, strengthening process capability, and supporting cross-functional teams, including Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Product Development; to uphold ADTI's commitment to product quality, safety, and operational excellence.

What You'll Do
  • Plan and conduct quality inspections, testing, analyses, and evaluations to ensure products, components, and manufacturing processes meet required specifications and quality standards.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, career pathing, and metrics evaluation for up to 4 hourly quality technicians.
  • Review engineering and design documentation for compliance with internal quality requirements, technical specifications, and product records.
  • Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) and other data-driven quality methodologies to monitor, analyze, and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Evaluate purchased materials and components; provide input and recommendations regarding supplier performance, acceptance criteria, corrective actions, and sourcing decisions.
  • Identify quality issues and lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) efforts using structured problem-solving tools and root-cause analysis methodologies.
  • Communicate significant quality findings, trends, risks, and improvement recommendations to Lexington plant leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present technical data, quality metrics, reports, and program updates to management and cross-functional teams.
  • Develop, implement, and support product quality plans for new product introductions, engineering changes, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Support and promote Ruskin plant safety initiatives, contributing to injury reduction, hazard awareness, and compliance with safe work practices.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned in support of overall plant quality and operational objectives.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline, or 6+ years of related quality experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in quality engineering or manufacturing quality roles.
  • Strong working knowledge of manufacturing processes and production methods, including fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly.
  • Experience using SPC and modern quality systems, tools, and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, control plans, root-cause analysis, corrective actions).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other Windows-based applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T.
  • Proven ability to analyze data, troubleshoot complex issues, and make sound, data-driven quality decisions in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within industrial, mechanical, or HVAC-related manufacturing environments.
  • Prior involvement with cross-functional product development or engineering teams.
  • Experience working directly with suppliers and managing supplier quality performance.

Work Environment

This position is based at our Lexington, Kentucky manufacturing facility. The role includes regular time on the production floor with exposure to:
  • Industrial machinery and equipment
  • Moving mechanical parts
  • Variable noise levels
  • Fabrication, welding, and assembly processes
