Full Job Description
Eaton's Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions (GEIS) division is currently seeking a Quality Manager. This role is based at our Syracuse, NY facility. Relocation within the United States is provided.

The Syracuse, NY site core competencies are iron & aluminum foundries, machining, plating, and assembly. Manufacturing about 1 million units per month, the Syracuse team places high value on talented professionals who are focused on problem solving and efficiency.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $113000 - $165000 a year. Please note the salary information shown is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you'll do:

The Quality Manager is part of the Senior Leadership Team at the Syracuse plant reporting into the Plant Manager. They will lead quality assurance efforts and compliance of required standards for the facility including ISO, UL, product warranty, EBEA and all other quality initiatives. They will also maintain continuous focus on process improvement.

In this role you will:
  • Maintain Quality Manual, Procedures and Systems to ensure continued compliance with the ISO-9001 international quality standard, ISO/IEC 80079 International Standard and EQS.
  • Act as primary customer contact for quality related matters.
  • Lead deployment of the Eaton Quality System within the plant.
  • Manage resources to enable QA (Quality Assurance) personnel to fulfill their responsibility.
  • Delegate quality tasks to departmental personnel.
  • Lead Management Reviews of the Quality System.
  • Assess effectiveness of actions taken to address quality issues.
  • Represent customer requirements and interests to plant personnel.
  • Perform assigned Quality System functions.
  • Support MESH, ELSS, PROLaunch and other Eaton initiatives.


Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of Quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of leadership experience, such as Project Management, Product or Process Improvement/Implementation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ASQ, CQE or CQM Certification
