Job DescriptionPrimary Duties & Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and monitor quality control plans for both Ion Implantation and Disk Refurbishment
- Lead root cause analysis (e.g., 8D, FMEA, CAR processes)
- Drive corrective action and preventive actions with cross functional teams
- Collaborate with process and equipment engineers on implanter performance
- Collaborate with Disk Refurbishment Technician on tool performance
- Analyze quality metrics
- Lead initiatives to enhance process capabilities
- Auditing of suppliers
- Performs internal audits against the quality system
- Supports all Aerospace QMS audits
- Alignment with global II-VI quality processes is maintained
- All records, reports and metrics are accurate and generated on time
- Positive collaboration with other departments is maintained
- COQ, and KPI assessments are current and improvement opportunities/actions are completed
- Production and administrative departments are supported
- Measurable goals are deployed to increase quality, lower cost and increase speed of execution
- Measurements for quality systems are developed, implemented, and monitored
- Quality trends are monitored with reaction plans implemented for unacceptable measurements
- Nonconformities are reduced
- Company policy is followed regarding all safety, health and environmental regulations.
- Relevant Company Technology Control Plan, IP, and IT procedures are understood and executed.
- A quality work environment with good housekeeping standards is maintained

Education & Experience- 3-7 years Quality Engineering
- 3 years minimum in an AS9100 certified manufacturing company
- Able to work within Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Email
Skills- Able to balance financial and quality objectives
- Statistical expertise
- Audit expertise
- Able to solve complex problems using intuition, induction, deduction, analysis of data, and complex quality tools
- Experience with Advanced Quality Management and knowledge of various quality systems, especially ISO 9001, and AS9100.
- Able to build an AS9100 compliant QMS to merge with existing ISO 9001 systems
- Able to think critically and able to improve elements of the Aerospace Quality System to remove waste of time and dollars, while increasing quality performance
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills and ability to comprehend (including technical concepts) and communicate with Senior Leaders, customers, and department heads
- Handle special assignments promptly and professionally
- Set a high standard of ethics, professionalism, leadership, and competency

Managers will ensure that all safety and environmental procedures are followed consistently. They will ensure that risk assessments are performed, proper training, work instructions, required PPE is available, and will monitor compliance.
Quality and Environmental ResponsibilitiesDepending on location, this position may be responsible for the execution and maintenance of the ISO 9000, 9001, 14001 and/or other applicable standards that may apply to the relevant roles and responsibilities within the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.
