Job Overview

The Manufacturing Quality Manager leads the site Quality function and ensures product compliance, customer satisfaction, and effective manufacturing controls. This is a hands-on leadership position requiring a strong presence on the production floor. The manager is expected to identify quality risks while actively partnering with Operations, Engineering, and other functions to contain issues, determine root causes, and implement sustainable solutions

Job Requirements
• Lead, coach, and develop the site Quality team.
• Maintain and improve the Quality Management System.
• Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, industry, and internal requirements.
• Maintain an active presence on the production floor and respond quickly to quality issues.
• Lead containment, root-cause analysis, corrective action, and effectiveness verification.
• Manage customer complaints, internal nonconformances, product escapes, scrap, and recurring defects.
• Partner with Operations and technical teams to solve manufacturing problems without compromising quality requirements.
• Ensure products are manufactured and inspected according to approved specifications, drawings, procedures, and control plans.
• Support internal, customer, regulatory, and certification audits.
• Monitor quality metrics and drive improvements in first-pass yield, scrap, rework, and cost of poor quality.
• Communicate and escalate significant quality or customer risks promptly.
• Maintain authority for product acceptance, rejection, containment, and release decisions.

What your background should look like
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
• Seven or more years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Three or more years of leadership experience.
• Strong experience with root-cause analysis, corrective action, nonconformance management, audits, and customer complaints.
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems directly with manufacturing teams.
• Strong communication, decision-making, and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, medical device, or another regulated industry preferred.
• Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, 8D, PFMEA, SPC, MSA, and control plans preferred.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $133,760 - 200,640 annually (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
