Position Description:

QA Automation Engineer (AML)

This role is hybrid and requires the successful candidate to work from our downtown Toronto office and/or the client office a minimum of 3 days per week. The hybrid work arrangement is subject to change based on business and client requirements.

We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer with experience in the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) domain to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test solutions that ensure the quality and reliability of enterprise AML applications. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to support high-quality software delivery.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium.
• Validate AML application functionality, including LCTR processes and workflows.
• Develop and execute SQL queries for backend data validation and test verification.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and QA team members to understand business requirements and define effective test strategies.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
• Track, report, and manage defects using Jira while maintaining project documentation in Confluence.
• Utilize GitHub Copilot to improve development productivity and test automation efficiency.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and support root cause analysis.
• Continuously improve automation coverage, testing processes, and framework capabilities.
• Contribute to maintaining high-quality software delivery through effective test planning and execution.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Experience working with AML (Anti-Money Laundering) technology.
• Hands-on experience with LCTR.
• Strong experience in Selenium test automation.
• Experience using GitHub Copilot or other AI-assisted development tools.
• Strong SQL skills for data validation and database testing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience creating, enhancing, or maintaining automation frameworks within LCTR.
• Experience migrating automation frameworks from Selenium to Playwright.
• Knowledge of modern test automation frameworks and best practices.
• Experience working in the banking or financial services industry is an asset.
