Full Job Description
A Snapshot of Your Day

At Siemens Energy, our Quality Engineers play a critical role in ensuring that our power transformers meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction. In this role, you will work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Project teams, as well as with other internal and external stakeholders, at our Charlotte Power Transformers facility, supporting product quality across the full product lifecycle.

You will be actively involved in preventing defects, analyzing quality data, driving structured problem solving, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor. Your work will directly contribute to product excellence and to Siemens Energy's mission of advancing the global energy transition.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Support and maintain product and process quality controls within power transformer manufacturing.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Project teams to define and apply quality requirements.
  • Plan and execute inspections to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal standards.
  • Utilize SPC, data analysis, and real-time reporting to monitor performance and drive preventive and corrective actions.
  • Lead or support root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and defect-prevention initiatives.
  • Support audits, customer inspections, documentation accuracy, and the implementation of quality standards and digital solutions.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field with 3+ years experience in manufacturing or industrial quality role, preferably within engineered or heavy equipment products.
  • Sound working knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., 8D, CAPA, control plans, risk-based thinking, SPC).
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and quality requirements in a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, shop-floor-oriented environment.
  • Structured, analytical mindset with a hands-on approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent people skills, high standards of professionalism, detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Must be willing to relocate to the Charlotte, NC area, if not already local.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
