Quality Engineer
  • (Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing)
  • Status: Full-Time; Exempt
  • Compensation: $80,000 - $95,000, Depends on Experience
  • Schedule: 6:00 am 2:00 pm, Monday - Friday
  • Location: 3011 W Windsor Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85009


We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer with proven experience supporting Honeywell programs and processes. The ideal candidate brings exceptional technical expertise, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to driving product excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure product and process quality in alignment with Honeywell standards and customer requirements
  • Read, interpret, and apply complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documentation
  • Utilize expert-level GD&T knowledge to analyze designs, establish inspection criteria, and resolve dimensional issues
  • Perform hands-on inspection using a full suite of precision tools, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMMs(CMM preferred knowledge), and other metrology equipment
  • Lead root-cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to resolve quality concerns and improve process capability
  • Support audits, FAI/PPAP submissions, and documentation consistent with AS9100 and Honeywell expectations


Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be US Citizen or have Permanent Resident Card
  • Direct experience working within Honeywell aerospace or industrial product lines preferred
  • Strong blueprint and GD&T interpretation skills (ASME Y14.5 proficiency preferred)
  • Hands-on expertise with inspection tools and measurement techniques
  • Experience with quality systems, audits, and industry standards (AS9100, ISO 9001)
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and ability to communicate clearly across functions
  • Three to five years Aerospace quality inspection experience
  • Quality oriented with a hands-on personality, "do it right the first time" personality.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, time management and follow-up skills.
  • Proficient in the use of computers including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to handle the walking, lifting, bending, stair climbing, and stooping required to perform the job
  • Possess a high degree of initiative and be self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Team oriented, possessing the ability to work cohesively with others to accomplish assigned responsibilities.


Physical Requirements
  • The physical demands of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Frequent activities include sitting, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing, writing, and typing.
  • Occasional lifting of materials or equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Occasional physical movements such as reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, grasping, twisting, bending, and performing repetitive motions.
  • Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to earplugs, safety glasses, safety shoes, and other safety gear as required.
