As a Quality Engineer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our aerospace products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and compliance. You will support production and engineering teams, root cause investigations, and shaping the continuous improvement culture within our organization.
What You Will Do - Support internal audits to ensure compliance with internal standards, industry regulations, and certifications
- Serve as a Preliminary Review (PR) member, ensuring the timely disposition, correction, and closure of nonconforming materials.
- Perform data analysis and reporting to monitor product quality and identify trends or areas for improvement in effort to reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
- Support Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) efforts to address quality issues.
- Plan and oversee First Article Inspections (FAI).
- Support activities related to the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
Qualifications You Must Have - Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
- Quality or similar engineering experience within a manufacturing industry.
Qualifications We Prefer- Six Sigma and/or ASQ CQE/CQM Certification.
- Experience working in military or aerospace quality systems.
- Experience working directly with customers and suppliers.
- Working knowledge and understanding of current ISO 9001/AS 9100 quality systems.
- Working knowledge of engineering specifications and drawings.
- Experience working root cause corrective actions and investigations.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
