Step into a pivotal Quality Engineer Level 4 position at Indotronix, where your expertise will directly impact the success of aerospace and advanced manufacturing projects. Based at our St. Charles, MO facility, you'll work onsite in a dynamic environment that values excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement. Begin with comprehensive first-shift training before transitioning to a key second-shift role, collaborating with cross-functional teams and driving quality initiatives from day one.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and execute engineering documentation, work instructions, and supplier contracts to ensure full compliance with all program requirements.
- Identify, document, and investigate product/process non-conformances; drive corrective and preventive actions through to closure.
- Manage, maintain, and ensure accuracy and traceability of all quality records, including audit documentation and certifications.
- Recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cost of poor quality and enhance process efficiency.
- Escalate program risks promptly and support the development and execution of mitigation plans.
- Proactively own the assigned Non-Conformance Report (NCR) queue and achieve timely, effective closures.
- Ensure compliance with audit requirements and contribute to maintaining zero critical findings in contractor-managed areas.
- Provide consistent, risk-based quality decisions aligned with Quality Management Systems and contractual obligations.
- Deliver timely, accurate weekly status reports and escalate risks as appropriate.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred; relevant experience accepted in lieu of degree.
- Minimum 8-10 years in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environments.
- Proven track record managing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and compliance-driven processes.
- 5+ years of quantitative/statistical analysis, data collection, and interpretation experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, make sound quality decisions, and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with: AS9100, CAPA, RCCA, Root Cause Analysis, ASQ certification, First Article Inspection (FAI), CQA, PQP, COPQ, TipQ, military/aerospace standards.
