  • Track program quality metrics using tools like Power BI.
  • Approve final data packages before delivery.
  • Disposition non-conformance reports (NCRs) and report to management.
  • Ensure completion of root cause analyses and corrective actions for non-conformances.
  • Communicate process changes to management.
  • Perform quality inspections as needed.

Full Job Description
Leidos' Defense Sector is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team in our Huntsville, AL location!

Primary Responsibilities
  • Implement a new program and processes
  • Oversee Quality data and reports.
  • Work with program managers and engineers to support the program requirements.
  • Ensure CDRL compliances.
  • Prepare monthly slide show presentations.
  • Conduct meetings for status and failure analysis.
  • Track program quality metrics through Power BI and other reporting software.
  • Approve final data packages prior to delivery.
  • Disposition NCR's and report the Management.
  • Ensure root cause and corrective actions on nonconformances are completed.
  • Report any process changes to Management.
  • Track and complete issued NCRs and report through program channels.
  • Quality Inspection duties as required.


Basic Qualifications

  • The Candidate must have a BS degree and 8 years of relevant experience or masters with 4 years of prior relevant experience. (In lieu of a degree, a High School diploma/GED or equivalent education with 12 years of relevant experience will be considered.)
  • The candidate should have at least 8 years of quality experience in an ISO9001/AS9100 system or equivalent experience in DOD, Aerospace, or Automotive manufacturing quality control.
  • Knowledge of automated inspection processes, (Vision/Torque systems)
  • Experience in PFMEA's
  • Experience with Control plans and Advance product quality planning.
  • Experience with internal and external suppliers.
  • The candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville North Alabama, AL area.
  • Knowledge of GD&T
  • Basic knowledge and understanding when reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Experience in an ISO9001/AS9100 manufacturing environment.
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance.


Preferred Qualifications

  • CQE Certification.
  • Knowledge of FAR and DFAR regulations.
  • Six Sigma certified

Pay Range $92,300.00 - $166,850.00
