Position Description: This role must be filled at the client site 5 days per week in Pittsburgh PA.
As a Test Automation Lead Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring robust regression coverage while driving automation excellence across applications. This role blends hands on automation, manual validation, and team leadership, offering the opportunity to influence testing strategy and mentor a small offshore team. Your future duties and responsibilities:• Define and implement test strategy, test plans, and quality gates for releases
• Design and execute manual, functional, regression, and end to end testing
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks across API and UI layers
• Perform API validation including request/response, authentication, and data integrity
• Build and execute UI automation tests using modern frameworks
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing
• Perform defect analysis, root cause analysis, and quality reporting
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure early quality involvement (shift left)
• Mentor team members and promote quality engineering best practices
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:• 5+ years of experience in manual Testing
• Strong knowledge of SDLC/STLC and Agile methodologies
• Expertise in test case design, execution, and defect management
• Experience in end to end and exploratory testing
API Testing & Automation
• Experience with tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent
• Knowledge of JSON/XML validation and database validation (SQL)
• Karate experience preferred
UI Automation
• Hands on experience with Selenium / Playwright / Cypress
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or equivalent
Tools & Technology
• CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
• Test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, XRAY or similar)
• AI experience a plus

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $89,600.00 $176,300.00.
