Quality EngineerThe Quality Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing methods and procedures for process control, process improvement, testing, and inspection to ensure products are free of defects and perform as designed. This role analyzes quality data, investigates non-conformances, identifies trends, and recommends corrective actions to drive continuous improvement. The Quality Engineer collaborates closely with internal teams and suppliers to resolve quality issues, implement effective corrective actions, and support supplier quality improvement initiatives.
This is an individual contributor role that requires the use of judgment in applying professional expertise and is expected to work independently with minimal supervision. The position requires an understanding and application of procedures and concepts within the quality discipline, along with strong attention to detail and the ability to make evaluative judgments based on the analysis of factual information.
Qualifications- Engineering degree or equivalent required
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
Key Areas of ResponsibilityQuality Systems & Non-Conformance Management- Work closely with Operations and business functions to ensure quality performance of products and processes.
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams and suppliers to address priority quality issues.
- Own internal and supplier-driven Non-Conformance (NC) and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) records.
- Manage the timely processing and closure of NC and CAPA records within the Trackwise electronic management system.
- Support the execution and analysis of manufacturing-related complaint investigations and product field actions.
- Investigate and disposition non-conforming product through the Material Review Board (MRB) process and issue NCs as appropriate.
Supplier Quality Activities- Communicate and collaborate with suppliers regarding non-conformances and escalate Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) as required.
- Execute and manage Supplier Initiated Change Requests (SICRs), partnering with cross-functional teams to assess and approve proposed changes.
- Support manufacturing transfers to and from other plants or facilities, ensuring appropriate quality activities are executed.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement supplier part certification opportunities.
Process Improvement & Validation- Support the development and improvement of internal manufacturing and distribution processes for existing products.
- Perform assessments and qualifications of internal and supplier-proposed change management activities, including Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities related to supplier changes.
- Participate in and, when appropriate, lead the creation and review of new or revised procedures.
- Support the development, execution, and review of process and equipment validation/qualification activities and Measurement System Analysis (MSA) for internal processes.
- Maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) used to monitor process and product quality.
- Analyze quality data, interpret trends, and initiate appropriate actions based on findings.

Work Environment- This position requires the candidate to be on-site four (4) days per week.
