Location: Florence, KY (On-site role with limited travel)
Our Florence, KY site supports high-growth AI and cloudinfrastructure customers, spanning server and rack integration, and datacenter liquidcooling technologies, where quality, speed, and traceability
are essential.
How will you make an impact?
We are seeking a Quality Engineer to lead quality assurance activities for new and existing liquid cooled server and rack assembly operations. In this hands on, impact driven role, you will develop quality controls, lead investigations, validate liquid handling processes, ensure stable, repeatable production aligned with customer and industry expectations.
As part of the core team supporting next generation liquid cooling manufacturing technologies, you will own product and process quality for critical liquid cooling assemblies, collaborate cross functionally to prevent defects, and drive systemic improvements in reliability, manufacturability, and yield. The ideal candidate has direct experience in server or data center infrastructure, thermal systems, or similar high precision, fluid cooling manufacturing environments.
What will you do?
This well experienced Quality Engineer will lead hands on quality execution for liquid cooled server and rack assemblies, driving defect prevention, investigations, and process stability. You will develop and validate quality controls, support NPI readiness, and collaborate cross functionally to improve yield and reduce DPPM to include the below:
Customer Requirements Review:
Review of Customer requirements at the initial NPI phases and ensure we comply with all the requirements that include but may not be limited to BOM review, Specifications (Cosmetic, Technical Etc.), and Incoming Quality Criteria(s).
QMS leadership:
NPI 12 Ramp:
Lead quality readiness for NPI builds, establishing inspection plans, CTQs, PFMEA updates, and MSA/GR&R studies. Verify quality targets through initial ramp, ensuring defect modes are identified early and addressed permanently. Complete build reports and collaborate with cross functional teams to close any gaps identified.
Liquid Cooling:
Define and enforce incoming quality criteria for liquidcooling assemblies, including pressuretest and leaktest acceptance limits to ensure system integrity and compliance with industry standards and customer quality specifications.
Develop and maintain leakprevention quality protocols, including pressuretesting at incoming and leak test procedures, and sensorbased leak monitoring.
Execute and verify leakprevention protocols, coolanthandling processes, and pressuretest methods to ensure compliant production and stable coolingloop performance.
Audit and verify cooling and fluidhandling processes to ensure they meet quality, efficiency, safety, and sustainability targets while preventing contamination and reducing variation.
Support the quality lifecycle of process and test equipment, including qualification, commissioning, calibration, performance verification, troubleshooting issues, and upgrade validation.
In-Line Quality & Yield:
Supplier quality:
Define Incoming Inspection Criteria, definition based on Jabil and Customer requirements from the NPI standpoint. Support Supplier Quality with CTQ identification, material storage process, and supplier qualifications as needed. Evaluate supplier performance and collaborate with SQE to issue and verify SCAR effectiveness.
Customer:
Lead 8D/A3 investigations on returns/complaints; implement CAPA and close the loop with clear, data-driven communication to customer quality teams. In Parallel, identify gaps and drive actions for closure while working with cross functional teams and customers as needed. Prepare data driven quality reports, including trend analyses, issue summaries, and CAPA effectiveness.
Data Driven Analysis & Failure Investigation:
Analyze yield, DPPM, leakage events, and thermal/flow data to proactively identify emerging issues. Drive structured root cause investigations using 8D, A3, 5Why, Ishikawa, and advanced quality tools.
Provide actionable insights and recommended improvements to manufacturing, engineering, and leadership.
Digital Quality:
Docs & Training:
Publish procedures and one-point lessons; train operators/techs on critical quality features, audit discipline, and error-proofing. Understand and Translate Customer and regulatory requirements into Internal Work Instructions, Visual Aids, and other applicable documents.
Partner with EHS and Quality Systems to establish and enforce SOPs covering leakmitigation practices, coolant handling, chemical safety, waste management, and environmental compliance.
Cross Function Collaboration:
Partner closely with Industrial Engineering, Test Engineering, Process Engineering, and Maintenance to align quality and process objectives. Train operators and technicians on cooling system inspection standards, leak testing methods, and quality critical characteristics. Influence decisions using strong data interpretation and technical rationale.
How We Will Measure Success?
- FPY/yield 12 and DPPM 24 quarter-over-quarter.
Zero major audit findings.
CTQs Green at launch.
Verified CAPA effectiveness; recurrence rate 24.
COPQ (scrap/rework/returns) trending 24 with quantified savings.
CCAR closure lead time 24.
Work Model & Travel
On-site at Florence, KY integration and test lines, supplier, and customer visits up to 1520% as needed.
Expect frequent collaboration with Manufacturing/Process, Test, SQE, NPI/PM, Industrial Engineering, and Customer Quality.
