Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a robust QMS framework aligned with ISO standards
  • Collaborate with operations teams to enforce quality processes and manage documentation
  • Lead internal process audits and work with area leads to address findings
  • Partner with the Supply Chain team to uphold high supplier quality and manage supplier scorecards
  • Drive corrective and preventative actions with suppliers while keeping detailed communication records
  • Establish and support the document control system and training processes
  • Deliver quality training to both new hires and existing employees while advancing continuous improvement initiatives

  • This role is a hybrid position with the expectation to work onsite at the Ericsson warehouse located in either Piedmont, South Carolina or Boise, Idaho and relocation is not offered for this position.
  • Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions Inc. does not sponsor US work authorizations for this job position including H-1B, O-1, and TN. Ericsson also does not hire F-1's working on EAD for this position.


We are seeking a Quality Engineer to lead quality assurance efforts for Cradlepoint Operations, assuring process and product quality. They will work to create and manage our QMS strategy and system. They will work closely with other Operations teams and tangentially with departments such as R&D and Support to identify issues and drive product and process improvements. They will work closely with Suppliers and supply chain team to develop and ensure a strong Supplier Quality program.

What you will do:

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and upkeep of a robust QMS framework and system aligned with ISO standards
  • Collaborate seamlessly with operations staff to enforce adherence to quality processes, implement changes effectively, and meticulously manage documentation
  • Lead internal process audits and work with area leads to correct associated findings
  • Partner closely with the Supply Chain team to guarantee Supplier Quality is maintained at the highest standard
  • Drive corrective and preventative actions with suppliers while maintaining meticulous records of communications with suppliers
  • Maintain metrics for supplier score card and communicate results to vendors and management.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining a document control system
  • Assist in development, implementation, and upkeep of training processes and tools
  • Lead internal quality training with new hires and existing employees
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for enhancing company processes and elevating product quality


The skills you bring:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience or familiarity with ISO certifications, namely ISO 9001
  • Experience or familiarity with SharePoint sites and their structure
  • Experience managing a document control system
  • Knowledge of root cause and corrective action activities and methods
  • Proven data analytics and statistical analysis skills, particularly towards application of product quality and failure metrics


Bonus Points:
  • Previous experience of at least five (5) years of experience in Manufacturing, Quality, or Operations
  • Expertise in evaluating current ways of working cross functionally (including tools and systems), and identifying/implementing improvements with cross functional buy-in
  • Experience working with CRM (Salesforce), ERP (D365 & SAP), PLM and other applicable business applications. Experience with integrations and connecting systems
  • Experience working with continuous improvement and problem-solving methodologies
  • Lean Six Sigma experience
  • Experience working with electronics or PCB manufacturing
