Quality Engineer.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $86,250 - $126,500 a year.

What you'll do:

Job Description:

Coordinate and implement quality control objectives, activities, and procedures to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize costs. Coordinate resources within the Quality Assurance function to adequately complete tasks required for proper execution and control of established Quality Assurance processes. Ensure that all in-process quality-control procedures (inspections, audits, holds, rejections) are carried out and followed up with corrective action. Supervise and train manufacturing engineers in the use of the 80 problem solving technique. Lead and/or assist in supplier quality processes - audits, surveys, certifications, and communications. Be certified as Lead Auditor and lead internal quality audits. Coordinate Customer audits, including documenting and tracking corrective actions and improvements related to findings. Serve as alternate to the QA Manager in the Manager's absence. Address unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and hazards in the work area and evaluate the ensuing corrections. Support MESH, ELSS, PROLaunch and other Eaton initiatives. Champion for EQS policies. Assure deployment and continuous improvements are made.

Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechatronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a directly related field, plus a minimum of three (3) years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, or a related function within a manufacturing or engineering environment. Experience must include:

Three (3) years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
  • Implementing and managing quality processes including RMR, CQM, Control Plans, PFMEA, MSA, internal/external audits, inspections, and calibrations.


One ( 1) year of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
  • Application of ISO 9001 quality management systems, including documentation, audit preparation and compliance monitoring.
  • Experience using enterprise systems such as Oracle (ERP) and Enovia (PLM) to manage quality, engineering change control, and traceability processes.
  • Root-cause analysis tools (80, 5 Why, and 6 Sigma).


40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm
