Position Summary:The Quality Engineer plans and directs activities related to the inspection, testing, and quality of products to ensure compliance with customer requirements, company standards, and applicable quality management systems. This position works closely with Production, Engineering, Customer Service, and other departments to identify and resolve quality issues, implement corrective actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Investigate and resolve customer complaints and coordinate corrective action.
- Lead focused teams in root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts.
- Ensure quality procedures, work instructions, and standards are followed throughout the manufacturing process.
- Evaluate non-conforming products and determine appropriate disposition.
- Process and coordinate internal sorting and rework activities.
- Interface with the Production department to identify and resolve quality-related issues.
- Initiate and support continuous improvement activities with employees to achieve quality and operational goals.
- Develop inspection methods and train inspectors on new product requirements prior to product launch.
- Uses analytical tools and techniques to qualify new products, processes, and measurement methods (cpk, ppk, MSA)
- Uses analytical tools to drive & sustain quality improvement efforts (SPC, correlation studies, DOE's)
- Support and/or lead internal audits, including Layered Process Audits (LPAs) on production floor.
- Participate in customer visits and work closely with Customer Service, Engineering, and Tooling departments with any customer issues- from launch of new projects to regular on-going accounts.

Qualifications & Skills:- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and/or three to five years of related Quality Engineer experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of quality systems, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with quality tools and statistical analysis techniques, including SPC, MSA, Cpk, and Ppk.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, engineering drawings, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and effectively present information to customers, management, and employees.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and quality-related software systems preferred.
- Knowledge of and experience with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
