Job SummaryThe Quality Engineer supports Client Experience by running test coverage across electronic tracking (eTrack) and electronic documents (eDocs). This role builds and maintains automated API/integration test suites to validate advisor-facing data, lifecycle status, and client statements/tax documents. Responsibilities include end-to-end data validation, metadata/tagging verification, entitlement/access-control testing, regression testing within CI/CD pipelines, and defect lifecycle management, delivered within an Agile squad in partnership with backend developers.
Key Responsibilities- Develop automated API tests to validate integrations between backend systems (Salesforce, Alfresco) and advisor portal front end
- Perform end-to-end data validation across source systems and UI contracts
- Verify metadata/tagging and entitlement/access-control functionality
- Design and execute regression tests within CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, PR-based workflow)
- Manage defect lifecycle and collaborate with Agile squads to resolve issues
- Support performance/load testing as needed
- Generate test reports with screenshots and logs for CI/CD integrated suites
Top 5 Must-Have Skills- API/integration test automation (Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent)
- Test automation frameworks and scripting (Java, JavaScript, or Python)
- End-to-end data validation across integrated source systems and UI contracts
- Regression test design/execution within CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, PR-based workflow)
- Agile QE practices and defect lifecycle management
Top 3 Nice-to-Have Skills- Performance/load testing experience

Automation Tools/Frameworks Used by Team- Playwright - end-to-end/UI automation (fixture-driven page object model, accessibility-first selectors, network mocking, visual regression)
- Postman - API test collections and integration testing (Bruno also in use)
- JMeter - performance and load testing
- CI/CD-integrated test suites - generating reports with screenshots and logs
- Nice-to-have exposure: improving automation coverage at orchestration/integration layer (service-facade and orchestration testing)
