Plano, TX.Who we're looking forToyota's Customer Quality Services (CQS) Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Quality Data Engineer.
The primary responsibility of this role is to support Early Detection-Early Resolution (EDER) through digital transformation initiatives, and to lead and/or support department and cross-function hoshin & kaizen projects. The Product Engineer will be responsible for communicating honestly and objectively with TMNA management and Japan staff, TMC/TTC, TL1 manufacturing plants & suppliers, field organization members, department and divisional affiliates/associates, and external representatives in improving overall product quality.
Reporting to Performance & Operations Manager, the person in this role will support the department's objective to maximize the overall product quality, customer satisfaction, brand loyalty, and repeat purchase of Toyota/ Lexus vehicles.
What you'll be doing - Support beginning-to-end development of EDER process improvement strategies for the North American Customer Quality services (CQS) department
- Grasp new technologies and vehicle data sources and develop strategies to leverage them within the department
- Develop, maintain, and enhance data solutions, tools, virtual reports using Alteryx, Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate)
- Utilize engineering analysis/ problem solving to determine root cause
- Create and maintain KPIs and visual reporting used to track department performance
- Provide ad hoc data analysis and reporting to support product investigations as well business planning
- Lead/Support projects related to Hoshin development, system development, and department planning
- Support cross-functional special projects, as assigned
What you bring - Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Engineering, Automotive Technology, Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Experience using statistical analysis to identify and demonstrate trends within large and diverse datasets
- Experience developing databases using ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) solutions
- Experience developing and implementing reports and dashboards in Power BI (preferred) or Tableau
- Experience developing solutions using "low-code" tools such as SharePoint, PowerApps, UI Path, and Alteryx
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, define goals, create timelines, and provide status reporting
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels in the company by providing accurate and concise Information
- Ability to be diplomatic, build trust, and gain consensus when working with large diverse groups

- Professional experience working in a quality department/organization (i.e. Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or Quality
- Project Management Institute (PMI) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
