Join a team that helps deliver consistent, high-quality execution across lending deal setup. You will help prevent defects, improve turnaround times, and strengthen controls through detailed review and partnership.
Job summary

As a Quality Control Specialist in Deal Setup Quality Control, you perform daily quality control reviews across deal setup activities to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to documented procedures and controls. You partner with internal stakeholders to resolve exceptions, reduce rework, and support consistent execution against service level commitments.
Job responsibilities
  • Perform quality control review and validation for deal setup activities, ensuring completeness and accuracy prior to completion
  • Meet established quality and volume service level commitments, including same-day completion requirements where applicable
  • Follow documented controls, policies, and procedures; escalate issues when requirements are not met
  • Validate client documentation and reconcile data across credit and loan systems to prevent defects and rework
  • Follow up with external agents/customers and internal partners for missing notifications, documentation, or confirmations to enable timely closure
  • Partner with Business, Legal, and Operations stakeholders to clarify requirements, resolve exceptions, and reduce turnaround time
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, provide clear status updates, and support effective handoffs
  • Identify recurring errors, share insights, and contribute improvement ideas to enhance quality, efficiency, and stakeholder experience
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in financial services with consistent delivery in a controlled operations environment
  • Understanding of business financial statements and lending/loan concepts across industries
  • Strong attention to detail and quality mindset, with ability to identify defects, inconsistencies, and missing requirements
  • Strong research, analytical, and comprehension skills, including ability to interpret and validate information across multiple sources and systems
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills to meet deadlines, manage multiple assignments, and sustain quality standards
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to escalate clearly and in a timely manner
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Experience supporting lending deal setup workflows and performing quality control reviews
  • Working knowledge of loan systems and tools (for example, ACBS, LIQ, and/or VLS)
  • Experience supporting control reporting, issue tracking, and root-cause identification
  • Demonstrated ability to partner across teams and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining accuracy
