Job Description

Summary

The QCM ensures through various audits, inspections, tests, and measures that the personnel performing under this contract follow approved procedures/directives when performing housekeeping duties. In addition, the QCM is also responsible for overseeing the project safety program to include providing weekly safety training to all site employees, investigating accidents and reporting to Corporate Safety and Risk Management Offices, and inspecting work sites to ensure proper safety techniques are being utilized by project personnel.

The pay rate for this position is $45-$90/hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring that the procedures, technical manuals, and contractual requirements are compiled with.
  • Performs inspections and audits and ensures, through various audits, inspections, tests, and measures, that personnel follow approved established procedures/directives.
  • Monitors all operations to ensure a safe working environment is established and maintained.
  • Ensure personnel performing assigned tasks are qualified and certified as required.
  • Establishes trend analysis data for process monitoring and problem reporting.
  • Documents any corrective actions required when violations of approved practices and procedures are noted and perform follow-up observations when necessary.
  • Inspects procedural documentation, technical manuals and other standards and specifications to ensure they are current, and all applicable changes have been entered.
  • Ensures that personnel follow all procedures governing the operation of the applicable equipment.
  • Inspects to ensure material handling devices to be used have been recently tested and certified.
  • Performs quality assurance audits as planned and directed by management.
  • Develop trend analysis data of preventive maintenance, service calls and maintenance repairs for monitoring and problem identification.
  • Provides written technical reports to higher-level management concerning all processing and procedure deficiencies, technical problems, and/or potential problems.
  • Other duties as assigned by management and/or supervisor.


Supervisory Responsibilities

This position may supervise QC Inspectors and Janitorial staff.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active Driver's license and proof of current automobile insurance and the ability to travel to local facilities.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Ability to pass a background and or Govt. security clearance.
  • Must possess skills to read, write and comprehend English.


Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or two years of Quality Control experience in addition to requirements below.


Experience:

  • Three to six years of experience in Custodial Quality Control procedures and demonstrate ability to utilize existing programs as well as ability to create and administer new programs.
  • Two years of experience in a supervisory capacity
  • Must have received a minimum of OSHA 30 hours safety training and demonstrate ability to convey existing company policies to employees through toolbox meetings and talks.
  • Must conduct QC and Safety inspections daily and document those inspections.
  • Must have the ability to manage time efficiently, work with multiple department directors and managers, as well as maintain schedules.
  • Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working within a team environment and outsourced support teams.
  • Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.

Physical Demands

Work involves moderate to heavy work in all types of conditions. There is a frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform other similar actions during the course of the workday.

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described in this job description are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential duties and responsibilities of this job.

Generally, indoors, office setting. While outdoors may be subject to changes in temperature noise levels.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week as business needs dictate.
