Who we are looking for

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team at SBS. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced in quality assurance within manufacturing environments, and passionate about driving continuous improvement and compliance with industry standards.

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain quality management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Create and implement testing and inspection protocols for products throughout the production process.
  • Analyze quality data, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Review and approval of First Article Inspection reports in accordance with the AS9102 Rev C standard.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma, Lean, and other methodologies.
  • Investigate product defects, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure compliance with national and international standards and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or related field (Must).
  • 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering.
  • Experience within aerospace, avionics, or electronics integration/manufacturing (Advantage).
  • Familiarity with IPC standards (Advantage).
  • Experience in FAA Part 145 environments (Advantage).
  • Proficiency in QMS, statistical analysis, and improvement methodologies
  • Experience with quality tools/software (e.g., Net-Inspect, SAP)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Occasional travel required.


Work Environment

This role operates in indoor settings, including office and warehouse/airplane hangar environments, requiring the use of standard office equipment and safety gear. Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration may occur.
