Responsibilities

  • Coordinate audits of process control plans and implement corrective actions.
  • Supervise and guide Quality Inspectors and Gauge Technicians.
  • Lead root cause analysis and troubleshooting activities.
  • Conduct regular audits of internal quality systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with metrology and quality teams on measurement standardization.
  • Communicate quality performance and progress to various stakeholders.
  • Facilitate training related to quality systems and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards like IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.

Full Job Description
Location: Stratford, ON (onsite)
Salary Range: $80-85K annually

Vacancy Type: Existing Position
Schedule: Primarily Day Shift
Travel: Minimal

As our next Quality Assurance Supervisor, you'll be at the forefront of driving quality excellence across manufacturing operations. Your expertise in quality systems, containment practices, process improvement, and problem-solving will be critical in reducing scrap, improving product quality, and ensuring customer satisfaction while maintaining compliance with industry standards.

What You'll Be Doing:
• Develop and implement systems to ensure effective containment of internal quality issues and nonconforming product.
• Support customer issue containment activities and ensure effective communication across all shifts.
• Coordinate process control plan audits and implement corrective actions to address findings.
• Supervise Quality Inspectors and Gauge Technicians, providing guidance and support.
• Lead and support root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and corrective action activities.
• Conduct regular audits of internal quality systems and processes.
• Partner with metrology and quality teams to standardize measurement and inspection methods.
• Communicate quality performance, issues, and progress to management, customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Facilitate employee training and development related to quality systems, equipment, and processes.
• Maintain and monitor internal deviation databases and drive timely closure of open actions.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and company quality management systems.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving internal and external quality performance.

What We're Looking For:
• Powder Metallurgy Technologist (PMT) Level 2 Certification or currently working toward certification.
• 3-5 years of experience in high-speed manufacturing environments with a strong focus on quality.
• Demonstrated experience in root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Bonus Points If You Have:
• Experience supervising quality teams in automotive manufacturing environments.
• Experience with containment systems, process audits, and customer quality concerns.
• Knowledge of metrology, gauging systems, and measurement techniques.
• Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience supporting external customer audits and quality reviews.
