QA/QC Engineer - Transformers

Location: On Site at 19100 SW Warfield Drive, Indiantown, FL

Schedule: 8:30 am to 5 pm, Monday - Friday

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our products, specifically focusing on MV Transformers. You will play a critical role in the manufacturing oversight, process quality control, and quality assurance in the engineering and design, manufacturing, assembly processes, and customer delivery.

This job description is not intended to be a complete list of responsibilities, and the employee should expect to be asked to perform other duties that may fall outside of this position.

The QA/QC Engineer will be expected to take on other responsibilities in the transformer shop, which may include hands-on assembly assistance, creating and documenting testing and other shop-related SOPs and training materials, and training other workers on manufacturing procedures, safety, etc. The responsibilities below are not a full comprehensive list, and other duties may be assigned as required.

Responsibilities
• Perform thorough drawing and design reviews to ensure compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and internal specifications.
• Provide HV Test support for finished products.
• Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures to monitor the manufacturing, assembly, and installation of low-voltage switchboards as related to MPS design drawings.
• Conduct inspections and tests at various stages of production and installation to identify defects or non-conformities and take corrective actions as necessary.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, estimators, production staff, procurement and logistics, inventory, and product managers, to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Participate in supplier audits and evaluations to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components.
• Create Electrical assembly and Mechanical assembly ISO SOP's in collaboration with key stakeholders.
• Maintain quality documentation and records to track quality metrics, trends, and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in quality assurance and quality control within the power solutions industry, with a focus on medium voltage transformers and switchboards.
• Strong knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEEE, IEC, NEMA).
• Experience with conducting drawing and design reviews for complex electrical systems.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and assembly techniques for power distribution equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Certification in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ) is a plus.
