Quality Assurance Manager for our
Chicago, IL office. Join our growing Construction Management Team that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges.
Your Impact- Assist the Quality Lead in the oversight and compliance of the CM Quality Assurance Plan.
- Assist the Quality Lead in assessing CM activities to assure that they remain effective and that they continue to meet the needs of the client
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of activities performed by contractors for conformance with the contract documents and industry standards.
- Assess contractor quality control and quality assurance documentation to ensure that it is being recorded, controlled, maintained, distributed, and retained in accordance with the client's standards and requirements.
- Assist the Quality Lead in preparation of a Monthly Project Quality Audit Report
- Assist the Quality Lead in preparation and execution of Quality Audits of the Contractor.
- Assist the Quality Lead in monitoring all documentation related to the issuance and tracking/closing of Non-Conformance Reports (NCR's), and Quality Deficiency and Open Items Tracking.
- Monitor and report on the work of the independent testing firm(s) and their subcontract work for the Contractor.
- Support oversight and review of on-site and off-site materials fabrication and inspection.
- Review construction materials testing/inspection reports for conformance to project specifications and applicable codes and standards
- Attend Bi-Weekly quality meetings with contractors and client.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
- Other duties assigned by the Quality Lead, Resident Engineer or Project Manager.
Who You AreRequired Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 7 years' experience in a Quality role on major transportation related projects.
- Have a working knowledge of railroad industry and various client specifications and contract management processes.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
- Must successfully complete and pass WSP's Motor Vehicle screening.
Preferred Qualifications- Quality Management experience on transit/rail projects.
- Quality Management Certifications are recommended.
- Knowledge of construction-related quality assurance and quality control concepts and tools. (Quality Auditing, Quality Surveillance, Inspection)
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to quality assurance and quality control on material testing and quality plan implementation.
- Ability to work on multiple construction projects simultaneously.
- lllinois Professional Engineer License preferred, but not required.

CompensationExpected Salary (all locations): $140,000-$171,100
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
