Your Impact

What You9ll Do

As a key member of our Central New England team, you9ll support the planning, design, permitting, and construction of renewable energy and land development projects. Your work will include:

Designing Sustainable Infrastructure
  • Develop site layouts, grading plans, and construction drawings using Civil 3D.
  • Design stormwater management systems and prepare supporting hydraulic and drainage calculations.
  • Support civil, water resources, and environmental engineering design efforts for renewable energy projects.
  • Evaluate existing site conditions and identify practical engineering solutions.

Bringing Projects from Concept to Construction
  • Perform site investigations, field assessments, and engineering analyses.
  • Analyze survey, GIS, geotechnical, and utility data to support project development.
  • Assist with permitting strategies, regulatory coordination, and environmental compliance.
  • Prepare technical reports, calculations, exhibits, and engineering documentation.

Collaborating and Innovating
  • Work alongside engineers, planners, scientists, and project managers on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Contribute ideas and technical expertise to solve complex design and construction challenges.
  • Support project scoping, proposals, budgeting, and work planning activities.
  • Help identify project risks and develop practical mitigation strategies.

Who You Are

What You9ll Bring

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor9s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • 4 to 6 years of relevant civil engineering experience.
  • Experience with site development, grading, drainage, stormwater management, and permitting.
  • Working knowledge of civil engineering principles, codes, regulations, and construction practices.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality.
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP9s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one.
  • Experience with HydroCAD, ArcGIS, or similar design and modeling tools.
  • Active involvement in professional engineering organizations.

Compensation:

Expected Salary (all locations): $88,500 - $126,600

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant9s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant9s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
