QUALITY MANAGER

Eau Claire, WI



POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for developing, implementing, and managing product, part, material, and process quality assurance programs to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products. Supervise and maintain a skilled Inspection Department. This position is additionally responsible for auditing compliance with EPA and OSHA regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Motivate the team to achieve organizational and personal goals; develop and implement timelines to achieve targets, and delegate tasks to team members.
  • Promote a team concept with staff through collaboration, communication and positive morale.
  • Empower team members with skills to improve their confidence, product knowledge, and communication skills; provide necessary training to maximize their potential.
  • Facilitate the process for ISO certifications, developing policies and procedures for full implementation and compliance. Assigned as ISO Management Representative.
  • Supervise a staff skilled and knowledgeable in state-of-the-art inspection techniques and Quality Assurance policies to minimize scrap and rework, increasing profitability, improving quality, and assuring customer acceptance of products.
  • Analyze all procedures, inspection techniques, and inspection equipment and implement improvements that will improve inspection effectiveness.
  • Confer with representatives of material and component suppliers to obtain information related to supply quality, capacity of vendor to meet orders, and vendor quality standards.
  • Maintain in process, receiving, and outgoing inspection systems, equipment, gauges, records, and print files, in accordance with company Quality Assurance policies.
  • CIT: establish standards and procedures for continuous improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • 5 years of experience focused in leading quality assurance, ISO certification, and inspection processes.
  • ISO 9001 certification experience.
  • Expertise in leading a progressive quality team in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with an ERP system.
  • Familiarity with EPA and OSHA regulations a plus.


EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related discipline, or equivalent experience
