We are hiring a Quality Assurance Manager to support an enterprise-level program within a federal environment.

Job Description and Responsibilities

Provides senior-level leadership and oversight of quality assurance and quality control activities for complex IT systems and software development efforts. Develops and implements quality assurance processes, plans, and standards to evaluate software, system performance, and documentation throughout the system lifecycle. Oversees verification and validation, software testing, integration, and quality assessments using industry best practices and software metrics. Conducts reviews at key development milestones, manages quality resources, resolves complex technical issues, and ensures consistent quality across analysis, design, development, implementation, and sustainment activities.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA)
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control principles, methodologies, and best practices for complex information technology systems and software development lifecycles.
  • Ability to develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes, plans, standards, and metrics to evaluate software quality, system performance, and technical documentation.
  • Skill in performing and overseeing verification and validation activities, software testing, integration assessments, and quality reviews throughout the system lifecycle.
  • Ability to manage quality assurance resources, identify risks, resolve complex technical issues, and ensure compliance with established requirements and quality objectives.
  • Knowledge of software development processes, system integration, and lifecycle management activities, including analysis, design, implementation, documentation, and sustainment.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills to provide subject matter expertise, conduct reviews, and drive continuous improvement across technical teams.

Physical Requirements
  • Required to stand, walk and sit; communicate verbally both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Physical demands associated with this position include extensive walking (including stairs) throughout offices and between buildings. May require use of public transportation, personal or Government vehicle to drive to local and/or remote office locations.
