Full Job Description
Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Quality Assurance Manager.

In this role, the successful candidate as the Quality Assurance Manager leads the design, implementation, and oversight of a standardized Hospital Billing (HB) quality program. This role partners with HB leadership, Training, and Operations to drive consistency, productivity, and performance through effective quality methodologies, analytics, and continuous improvement

Job Responsibilities:
  • Administer and oversee the Hospital Billing Quality Assurance Program, including quality scoring, productivity reporting, and performance dashboards.
  • Identify HB performance and process gaps; proactively escalate trends and recommend optimization strategies to leadership.
  • Serve as an escalation point for managers, supervisors, and team leads regarding quality concerns.
  • Collaborate with the Training team to support manager and staff development and address training gaps identified through QA findings.
  • Lead and participate in quality, productivity, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Set strategic direction for HB quality initiatives in partnership with leadership, ensuring alignment with NYU Langone Health goals and values.
  • Develop, maintain, and govern centralized QA documentation, including scoring methodologies, calibration standards, observation frequency, and feedback protocols.
  • Ensure consistent calibration practices and ongoing program evaluation and enhancement.
  • Mentor and develop supervisors and team leads in monitoring, coaching, feedback delivery, and calibration techniques.
  • Act as a process analyst by identifying efficiency and performance gains driven by quality insights.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $110,000-$135,000 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
