Salary Range: $38.32 - $52.84
Pay rates are determined based on experience and internal equity.
Position Summary:- Developing and implementing quality assurance policies and procedures in the laboratory
- Ensuring the laboratory complies with all local, state, and federal health and safety laws, regulations, and guidelines
- Reviewing and submitting proficiency data and reports
- Ensure reference laboratory test results have been received and submitted to ordering physicians.
- Investigating and resolving any issues, problems, or complaints related to quality assurance
- Working closely with laboratory management to develop, implement, and maintain a continuous quality improvement program
- Participates in team and quality improvement activities.
- Perform routine QA audits of lab processes and procedures
- Ensure that lab operations comply with regulatory standards and guidelines
- Identify areas for quality improvement and propose corrective actions
- Coordinate with lab staff to ensure consistent high-quality performance
- Ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner.
- Demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy, and goals of the organization.
- Remains flexible to changing systems.
- Fulfills other related responsibilities as assigned.

Essential Functions:- The ability to have the fine motor control skills to perform the duties of the position.

Position Qualifications:- Licensure: Must possess a valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License, or California Medical Laboratory Technician License.
- Education: Any combination of training, education, and work experience which is deemed adequate by the State of California for issuance of a Clinical Laboratory Scientist license, or Medical Laboratory Technician License.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years experience in a clinical laboratory setting. Documentation of training appropriate to ensure the satisfactory performance of responsibilities and duties of the position.
- Skills/Abilities: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, coworkers, hospital and medical staff. Must possess adequate phlebotomy skills for difficult adults, children, and newborns. Ability to cope with stressful situations on a regular basis. Ability to work without close supervision. Ability to work rapidly while maintaining quality. Ability to prioritize activities as appropriate. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Exercises good judgment, demonstrates initiative, emotional stability, tact and poise.
