Build in-house QA automation capability that strengthens quality, delivery control, and knowledge continuity.
THE OPPORTUNITYThis role helps strengthen Element's in-house quality assurance capability and reduce long-term dependency on external vendors. As Lead, Quality Assurance (Automation), you will provide hands-on QA automation expertise and governance across multiple projects, helping retain critical system and process knowledge within the organization while improving control over quality and delivery outcomes.
You will work across development, product, business, and QA teams to establish automation practices, improve test coverage, and support release readiness.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN- Set and apply automation quality guiding principles across projects, helping establish consistent QA automation practices and governance.
- Lead and guide QA automation team members across projects, helping them act as liaisons within their teams and spread automation best practices.
- Review and support automation test plans, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and regression testing guidelines, and provide training to team members with varying levels of experience.
- Design and architect test automation frameworks and develop new automation libraries leveraging Selenium, while making decisions on framework upgrades and emerging technologies.
- Implement automated testing across work streams to improve the overall testing cycle and provide progress materials, including spreadsheets, presentations, graphs, and other reporting requested by project managers or IT leadership.
- Contribute hands-on manual QA activities, including test case creation, execution, defect management, and development of test strategies, plans, and test cases based on product features and specifications.
- Partner with developers, UI/UX, product managers, and product owners to clarify system test requirements, identify and track defects, and share quality dashboards.
- Develop and improve testing processes for existing products, recommend software quality improvements, and support release readiness for features and integrations.
YOU SHOULD CONSIDER THIS ROLE IF:You bring deep hands-on QA automation experience, strong technical judgement, and the ability to guide others while remaining actively involved in delivery.
- You have a bachelor's degree in an IT- or computer-related field.
- You bring at least six to eight years of experience in automation and manual testing.
- You have at least four to five years of experience with Robot Framework, Python, Jenkins, Git, Azure, and Datadog or New Relic.
- You have a solid background managing automation test projects using Robot Framework and designing and building test harnesses for automation testing.
- You have experience designing, developing, reviewing, and executing regression test suites using front-end and back-end test scripts, as well as automated solutions for sanity testing and other repeatable tests.
- You can select and use appropriate automation tools for both front-end and back-end quality assurance testing.
- You bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to simplify complex technical ideas for different audiences.
- You communicate effectively with Application Architects, Development, QA/Testing organizations, and business teams, and can perform well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- You have experience with industry-standard QA practices, including black-box testing, risk-based testing, system testing, regression testing, and exploratory testing.
Preferred experience includes team lead experience with offshore resources and experience developing or influencing automated frameworks for enterprise-level functional and regression testing.
YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO TELL US- How you have designed or evolved an automation framework and the impact it had on testing efficiency, quality, or release readiness.
- How you have led QA automation practices across multiple projects while remaining hands-on with testing and defect management.
- How you have used Robot Framework, Python, Jenkins, Git, Azure, and observability tools such as Datadog or New Relic in an enterprise testing environment.
- How you have guided QA Automation Testers or Analysts, shared best practices, or strengthened team capability without direct people-management responsibility.
- How you have identified a testing or quality risk, recommended an improvement, and helped drive it through implementation.

COMPENSATIONThe hiring base salary range for this position is $111,000-$152,800 annually. This range represents the Company's good-faith estimate of the expected base salary at the time of posting. Salary ranges may vary based on the geographic location where the work is performed. The salary range listed in this posting applies only to the location identified. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including the successful candidate's qualifications, knowledge, skills, experience, internal pay equity, and relevant market data. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may participate in annual incentive programs, including bonuses, commissions, or other incentive compensation, as applicable to the role.
