HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

Supports quality activities for products serving the automotive, medical, military, semiconductor, and related technology industries. Works closely with customers, internal teams, and global manufacturing partners to resolve quality issues, support new product introduction, and drive continuous improvement under applicable quality management systems. This role requires strong communication, follow-through, and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate across functions and geographies to ensure timely, effective quality outcomes.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
•• Owns customer quality issues from initial notification through containment, root cause analysis, corrective action, customer response, and closure.
• Serves as a key customer-facing quality contact, communicating status, risk, containment actions, corrective actions, and follow-up plans clearly and professionally.
• Coordinates with global factories, suppliers, sub-suppliers, engineering, sales, customer service, and operations to drive timely investigation and resolution of quality issues.
• Drives supplier corrective actions across organizational and geographic boundaries, ensuring clear ownership, follow-through, documentation, and verification of effectiveness.
• Supports U.S.-based new product introduction activities, including appropriate use of APQP, Control Plans, PFMEA, PPAP, inspection planning, and quality documentation.
• Applies quality engineering tools such as SPC, Measurement Systems Analysis, Gage R&R, capability analysis, and root cause methods as needed to support practical problem solving and customer requirements.
• Provides cross-functional leadership without direct authority by clarifying priorities, escalating barriers, and driving open issues to resolution.
• Maintains accurate quality records, customer responses, corrective action documentation, and status updates to support internal visibility and external accountability.
• Able to work with and handle sensitive information.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
• 8+ years' experience as a Quality Engineer or Level II with 5 years' experience as a Quality Engineer and a CQE-ASQ.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex customer and supplier quality situations with limited guidance, including escalation management, cross-functional coordination, and closure of corrective actions.
