A Day in the Life of a Quality Assurance EngineerAs a Quality Assurance Engineer, your day begins with collaboration. You'll work closely with software developers, project managers, and other key stakeholders to ensure that every product we release meets the highest standards. From the first line of code to the final product, you're there to identify and address any bugs, defects, or performance issues that might compromise quality.
Your focus is on prevention and precision. You'll design and implement comprehensive testing processes, procedures, and standards that align with both customer expectations and industry regulations. Whether you're creating detailed test plans, writing test cases, or running automated scripts, your work ensures that our software functions seamlessly and performs reliably under all conditions.
Throughout the development lifecycle, you'll provide valuable feedback to improve product design and functionality. Your role is critical in delivering a product that not only works but excels-one that our customers can trust. Every day, your attention to detail and commitment to quality will drive continuous improvement and innovation across our products and services.
Responsibilities: - Implement and manage a quality approach and standards across the SDLC and incorporate them in the CM process
- Design and execute test plans, cases, and scripts for functional, non-functional, regression, performance, integration, and user acceptance testing
- Work closely with 3rd party organizations to test software quality according to established standards and benchmarks
- Ensure timely identification, reporting, and resolution of defects and issues
- Analyze product requirements, identify and document gaps
- Lead manual test efforts on cross-functional teams to prioritize testing code at a feature level and ensure alignment with requirements
- Collaborate with developers to utilize automated testing frameworks and tools to create repeatable regression tests
- Facilitate product demos, user acceptance tests, and feedback sessions with internal and external users
- Lead QA initiatives from a product/feature level
Experience & Education: - 3 or more years of experience with quality assurance and testing in an Agile environment
- 2 or more years of experience with Playwrite, Selenium, or other UI test automation tools
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
- Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git, CircleCI), preferred
- Experience with API testing and tools like Postman or Swagger, preferred
- Experience in cloud environments and SaaS applications, preferred
- Experience in performance and load testing with a tool like K6, preferred
- Typescript, Javascript, or Python development experience, preferred
