Quality Assurance Analyst (Digital Solutions)

Location: Vancouver, BCSalary Range: $74,000 - $114,000

Smythe LLP is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Assurance Analyst to join our growing Digital team. This is an exciting opportunity for a quality-focused professional who enjoys working at the intersection of technology and business, ensuring that applications, integrations, digital solutions, and emerging technologies deliver reliable, secure, and effective outcomes for users and stakeholders.

This role is based in our Vancouver office, with the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment following the completion of the probationary period.

The Opportunity

As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, usability, and effectiveness of Smythe's enterprise applications, client-facing solutions, system integrations, automated workflows, and emerging technology initiatives. You will help validate that technology solutions meet business requirements, support critical business processes, and deliver a positive user experience across the organization.

Working closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, developers, business stakeholders, vendors, and technology teams, you will contribute to the successful delivery of technology solutions through thorough testing, defect management, release validation, and continuous improvement of quality assurance practices.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, test scripts, and supporting documentation for business applications, integrations, and digital solutions
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, user acceptance, smoke, and exploratory testing to validate solution quality and business requirements
  • Test end-to-end business processes, workflows, system integrations, and data flows across multiple applications and platforms
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution while maintaining accurate testing evidence and records
  • Support testing activities for CRM, ERP, client-facing portals, enterprise applications, and automation platforms
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated testing capabilities, scripts, and reusable QA assets
  • Evaluate integrated, automated, and AI-driven solutions for reliability, security, usability, data integrity, and overall effectiveness
  • Participate in user acceptance testing, release validation, post-deployment testing, and production issue investigations
  • Communicate testing results, risks, defects, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote quality throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Smythe's QA standards, processes, tools, and best practices


What You Bring

  • 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance, application testing, business applications support, or a related role
  • Experience performing manual testing of web-based or business applications
  • Familiarity with test automation tools or a demonstrated interest in developing automation capabilities
  • Degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Technology, or a related field
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to understand business processes and translate requirements into effective testing approaches
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, and commitment to continuous learning


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in Agile or project-based delivery environments
  • Experience with CRM, ERP, client portals, enterprise applications, integrations, or automation platforms
  • Experience with automated testing tools, frameworks, or scripting
  • Experience testing integrated business processes and data flows across multiple systems
  • Exposure to AI-driven applications or emerging technology solutions
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices and quality assurance methodologies
