Quality Assurance AnalystTechnology and Projects Services(Competition 26:32)Position Overview: BCSC is currently seeking a full-time innovative, technically advanced, and detail-orientated Quality Assurance Analyst to join our dynamic team in our Technology and Projects Services (TAPS) Division.
The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and successful delivery of applications and technology solutions. Working closely with business and technical stakeholders, the QA Analyst develops and executes test strategies, performs manual and automated testing, manages defects, and supports releases throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Key Responsibilities:- Collect, execute, and maintain manual and automated testing activities to validate software solutions against business requirements, technical specifications, and quality standards.
- Develop and maintain test strategies, test plans, test cases, automated test scripts, and supporting testing documentation.
- Perform functional, integration, end-to-end, regression, UI, API, and data validation testing across applications and platforms.
- Create, maintain, and enhance automated test suites and support automated test execution pipelines using approved testing tools and frameworks.
- Track, prioritize, and manage defects using Azure DevOps, including root cause analysis, defect triage, retesting, and regression testing activities.
- Utilize Azure DevOps Boards, dashboards, queries, and reports to monitor testing progress, defect trends, quality metrics, and release readiness.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, including test case management, test data preparation, issue tracking, and user guidance.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, Product Owners, Business Analysts, developers, and project teams to validate requirements and ensure solutions meet business needs.
- Contribute to project planning, release management, production deployments, operational support, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyze business requirements, technical designs, and solution architectures to identify testing scope, risks, impacts, and quality considerations.
- Communicate testing results, quality risks, and technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Partner with business and technology teams to drive quality assurance initiatives and support successful project delivery.
Qualifications:- A technical diploma or university degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience working in software quality assurance and testing. An equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.
- Hands on experience and working knowledge of the following systems, tools and platforms is preferred:
- Azure DevOps
- Selenium, Playwright, and Robot Framework
- ReadyAPI (SoapUI) and Postman
- Microsoft Power Platform and Power BI
- Experience supporting software quality assurance and testing initiatives, including test planning, test automation, defect management, release validation, and quality reporting.
- Sound understanding of software development methodologies, Agile practices, databases, ETL/ELT processes, application testing techniques, and the software development lifecycle.
- Strong analytical skills, with a proven ability to identify risks, troubleshoot issues, and deliver quality-focused solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Able to drive results, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.

Salary Range:The salary range for this position is $86,097 (minimum) - $111.814 (midpoint) - $137,531 (maximum).
The starting salary for this position will be determined considering the successful candidate's relevant experience and education, salaries of other employees in the same salary range, market conditions, and other relevant factors. Starting salaries are normally below the salary band midpoint.
