Description

The Quality and Regulatory Engineer will ensure that our products and production methods meet strict internal and external standards. This is an in-office role based in our Bronx, NY facility.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Regulatory and Environmental compliance
  • Review user manuals, installation instructions and other printed materials for refrigeration, cooking, laundry, dishwashers, and other products to ensure they are technically accurate, easy for users to understand, and compliant with UL, CSA, state, federal, and environmental requirements.
  • Track and evaluate compliance requirements, including DOE energy standards, test procedures, ENERGYSTAR requirements, and other energy requirements and register products as needed.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with emerging environmental regulations, such as TSCA chemical reporting requirements, PFAS restrictions, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), and other state mandates.
  • Complete compliance questionnaires and resolve technical compliance inquires

Technical Support
  • Maintain the database of technical manuals, installation guides, safety data sheets and other supporting documents for all appliances
  • Manage engineering changes from our suppliers in coordination with relevant internal teams

Quality Control and Testing
  • Prepare, implement and maintain internal test protocols to evaluate appliance performance and verify compliance with any new or revised energy efficiency or safety standards.
  • Support the Quality Control and Service teams with product testing initiatives and quality issue investigations.

R&D and Product Development Support
  • Research new technologies, customer expectations, and product performance data to make our products better
  • Collaborate in research and purchasing initiatives for new components
  • Provide hands-on support to the R&D and engineering team in the development and testing of new products


The ideal candidate will have:

  • 4-year College degree in engineering, or science,
  • 2 to 5 years prior experience in quality or regulatory activities and any electrical products. Recent college graduates with some project experience may be considered.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of organization
  • Strong skills in email, Google docs, MS Word, and Google translate
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to function both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight project deadlines
  • Fluency in Spanish, Chinese or French is a plus but not a requirement


We are convenient to public transportation and are close to most major highways. We have modern offices, a business casual dress policy and an operations driven busy environment. The hours for this position are Mon - Fri 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Compensation: $66,300-$95,000 annual, commensurate with education and experience
